"The Best Man Holiday" Movie Review

When college friends reunite after 15 years over the Christmas holidays, they discover how easy it is for long-forgotten rivalries and romances to be reignited. 

The good: The actors, duh! The cast made the movie the great hit that it is. All the characters had different personalities, you didn't know what to expect from them. I also enjoyed the fact that they would throw in a splash of comedy here and there. For example, Quentin Spivey played by Terrence Howard was one character with multiple personalities. He was a comedian but when it came down to being serious for specific parts in the movie he certainly played his role. 

The bad: All though the movie was a hit, there was one thing that I felt could've made the movie better. "The Best Man Holiday" is a sequel to "The Best Man" which came out in 1999 but do you think many people know that? I doubt it. The producers should've showed a little bit of the movie "The Best Man" in the beginning, that way viewers who did not see would not be confused or lost while watching "The Best Man Holiday". 

On a scale from 1-10 I would rate this movie an 8. I would also recommend this movie to both a female and male auidence but to a much older crowd since this movie is rated R. I hope you enjoy watching this movie as much as I did!    

Princess Diana

Diana Spencer better known as Princess Diana was born on July 1st, 1961 in Sandringham (Norfolk-England). Diana Spencer married Prince Charles of Wales on July 29, 1981 in London. Diana had two children, Prince William and Prince Henry (Harry); family was very important to the Princess. Princess Diana died in a fatal car crash on Sunday August 31, 1991. She took her role as patron of the English National Ballet, the Leprosy Mission and the British AIDS Help seriously. She was the president of the Children's hospital Great Ormond Street and the Royal Marsden Hospital. Many awards which were given to Diana include the acceptance as Honorary Citizen of Northampton and the "Prize for Humanity". She also collected a great amount of money in order to do a great deal of good. She auctioned her most beautiful dresses in order to help cancer sufferers with the proceed. She was one of the most active people in raising money for the AIDS foundation in her country. She spoke to and comforted innumerable sick, poor and lepers. She fought for people who had been victims in land-mines. Princess Diana's legacy will forever live, she loved many and was loved by many.

Saint Valentine's Day Massacre

On the frigid morning of February 14th, 1929 in an unheated brick garage at 2122 N. Clark St, seven men were lined up against a wall and pumped with 90 bullets from submachine guns, shotguns and a revolver. At about 10:30 a.m. four men burst into the SMC Cartage Co. garage that Moran used for his illegal business. Two of the men were dressed as police officers. They announced a raid and ordered the seven men inside the garage to line up against a wall, then opened fire.The victims killed included Frank "Hock" Gusenberg and his brother, Peter "Goosy" Gusenberg. Four of the other victims were Moran gangsters, but the seventh dead man was Dr. Reinhardt Schwimmer.  

  

Malcolm X ✊

Malcolm Little better known as Malcolm X was born on May 19, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska. Malcolm was appointed as a minister and national spokesman for the Nation of Islam. His charisma, drive and conviction attracted a large amount of new amounts. He was featured in a week long television special in 1959 called "The Hate That Hate Produced". The television special explored the NOI (Nation Of Islam) and Malcolm's emergance as one of the NOI's most important leaders. In March 1964 Malcolm terminated his relationship with the NOI. Malcolm decided to find his own religious organization, the Muslim Mosque Inc. That same year Malcolm went on a trip to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Malcolm shared his thoughts and beliefs with different cultures and found the response to be overwhelmingly positive. Malcolm said that he had met "blonde haired, blue eyed men I could call my brothers." He returned to the United States with a new outlook on integration and a new hope for the future. When Malcolm spoke instead of just speaking to African Americans, he had a message for all races.

I choose Malcolm X because he was headed on the wrong path but he completely turned his life around.

I was born in Springfield, Massachusetts. I live with my mother, step-father, grandmother, my two sisters Adalyse and Khalyse, my dog Jack, and my guinea pig snowball. I now live in Hartford but I don't like it here because most of my family lives in Massachusetts. Also Hartford is such a small town, everyone knows each other.
